Country Paws specializes in dogs under 40 pounds.
Country Paws is owned and operated by Joann Price. I am native of Maryland and have grown up not too far from our Hydes location.
Our grand opening is in November 2017 in Hydes, Maryland. We are located right down the street from Hydes Park, near Baldwin, Long Green and Glen Arm area.
I began my dog grooming career over 9 years ago as a dog walker/sitter. This job was a springboard for me into the grooming industry. I then started working at a well known kennel/grooming shop in Harford County as a bather and then advanced to grooming. I learned how to correctly and carefully bathe, brush out, and groom . There I was trained by two Master Groomers. I also visited several other grooming shops along my travels and learned more about their own techniques as well as managing a business.
Over the years I was very fortunate to have worked with other groomers who took their own personal time to help me further my education of the breeds and styles.
My last position was with a newly opened grooming shop in Pennsylvania. I continued to learn new grooming techniques and perfected them along the way. The shop had grown and evolved into a well established, highly recommended grooming business. I was proud to have contributed in a part of that success.
